February-March Update
Aloha!
I hope this finds you all well and in high
spirits! How about an
update from Lokahi Baptist Church!
We have really enjoyed the beginning of 2010 and
all of our wonderful activities. We hope that you will be able
to join us!
We had an awesome Valentine's Event - Limo to
Waikiki and after dinner at Jimmy Buffet's we
went and saw "When in Rome"! Please keep
viewing our Calendar
and, if you aren't busy -
come and join us!
Our church calendar stays full year-around these
days. We fill each month up rotating with Teen,
Keiki and Adult
Activities - Something for Everyone to enjoy! We have two
events that occur every month: (1) Potluck once
a month on the last Thursday which includes
little surprises for the month's birthdays and
anniversaries, with our regular
weekly Bible Study to follow. This has
become a big hit with the congregation, and all
of the wonderful food is much appreciated.
(2) The 1st or 2nd Tuesday of every month we all
meet at either the local Chuck E. Cheese in Pearl City
from 6:00pm to 7:30pm OR at Pastor's House, for tons of family fun!
(Check the calendar for dates)!
Our church continues to grow, as does the amount
of selfless work that is put into it. Our
church members are truly appreciated for all of
their hard work and ideas. We’ve printed door
hangers, t-shirts and added several aesthetic
enhancements to the Sunday services. If you
would like an updated directory, new shirt,
tracks or
flyers/door hangers see Tiffany.
Please continue to pray for our Church to find
land in Kapolei. It would be a miracle, but we
know that our God can make that miracle happen.
We have started a building fund to be ready when
the opportunity presents itself and several
members have graciously agreed to assist in
financing if we need it. If you would like to
send funds to add to the building fund please
make a notation on your donation check memo so
it is put with the right deposits. As always,
checks should be made payable to Lokahi Baptist
Church and mailed to 94-1036 Waipio Uka Street
Suite 110, Waipahu, HI 96797.
In closing, we appreciate your unrelenting
support. May we continue to welcome many new families and guests, and
pray that we may lead them to Christ. After
all, Lokahi means “harmony” and no church is
more aptly named.
God Bless,
Pastor Gary DuBose and Family
